Had a magical moment with Carmen [pictured] today when her and Ivan Smith realised their dads were best friends as barbers in the old Moss Side.
This project keeps bringing tears and wonderful moments of release. And conversations about stuff we had no idea we harboured, But the strongest emotion is recognition. I haven't spoken to some for 30 years or more yet my heart recognises their heart as if it was yesterday. We shared yesterday in a way that will never leave us.
Later, after this film, we found a lump of red Leb in its plastic bag.
Tomorrow they are releasing the DANCE FLOOR.
