They Couldn't Oppress Us Cos We Didn't Give A

Kamila from i-D is still with us. She asks about half-caste, why we aren't remembered like the Hacienda, and how I gathered my army? We get pretty vocal. As usual. One of our artefacts. The pill which introduced Women's Lib. Photo by Whitworth assistant curator Moss Side born Nikita Gill.

Jeff: 'By Jewish law I'm Jewish.'

Kamila: 'It's a unique place a historical moment.' [The Reno]

This is an email to Whitworth Curator Sam form the Observer

Hi Samantha

I've had a good dig around - and read Helen Pidd's Guardian report from 2017 when the excavation was in full swing. It's completely fascinating. Do you think we could do a piece speaking to Linda and a couple of other people who used to go to the Reno? If so i envisage a piece with a lot of images across about 4 pages.

Many thanks
S
