Evaluating Excavating The Reno: Sarah Cattell

On my tombstone it should read archaeologist Sarah Cattell changed Linda Brogan's life. With her boss Adam Thompson, we spent weeks planning, budgeting, designing the Reno excavation. Sarah has this extra quality: every time Manchester City Council, the Heritage Lottery Fund, or Art's Council said no Sarah would calmly say 'it will happen'. Her calmness spurred me on to yes. Sarah: 'It's a little bit more personal if you like. With the Roman stuff and earlier we have to start with a blank canvas and work it all out . . . with the recent stuff . . . we can now focus on that person's history that family's history . . . '
